Purchase of Alcohol for a Minor

If you purchase alcohol for or give alcohol to an underage person, you can be charged with a crime and are subject to the following penalties if you are convicted:

First offense

• a fine of between $200 and $300, or
• thirty days in jail, or
• both a fine and jail time.

   Second or subsequent offense

• a fine of between $400 and $500, or
• thirty days in jail, or
• both a fine and jail time.
