Beth Bernstein graduated from of the University of Georgia, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1991, and graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1994. After graduating from law school, she began practicing law with her father, Isadore S. Bernstein and brother, Lowell E. Bernstein, and formed what is now known as Bernstein and Bernstein, LLC.
Beth focuses her practice on residential real estate transactions and probate administration. She also represents plaintiffs in personal injury and wrongful death cases involving products liability, medical negligence, motor vehicle and boat accidents, premises liability, and uninsured motorist claims.
Over the years, the firm has represented plaintiff in several cases with jury verdicts and/or settlements in excess of $1 million.
She has been a member of the South Carolina Bar since 1994. She also is a member of the United States Supreme Court, United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the United States District Court for South Carolina.
She is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, South Carolina Bar Association, and Richland County Bar Association.
She is Immediate Past President of the Richland County Bar Association. She was selected as Columbia’s Top “20 under 40” in 2006 and currently serves on the Palmetto Health Foundation Cancer Center Board and member of the Junior League of Columbia. She has previously served on the following boards: Three Rivers Heritage and Music Foundation, Columbia Jewish Federation, Beth Shalom Synagogue, and the Columbia Jewish Day School, South Carolina Philharmonic, and a 1998 Graduate of Leadership Columbia.
